The Research Laboratory of Applied Mathematics is mainly aimed at collaboration between renowned mathematicians in the country and abroad in order to:

  • research fundamental mathematics in areas of current interest in Europe and the world
  • develop mathematical algorithms to model studied structures
  • work with computer scientists to implement the studied algorithms
  • create and maintain a computing infrastructure (Dataroom, PCoIP remote access systems) for laboratory researchers and collaborators, to implement and test complex mathematical models that require large computational resources
